How To Break The Ice At Your Boudoir Session (AND Feel Comfortable In Front Of The Camera)

Whether you’re a first-time boudoir client or a returning client, those butterflies will always pop up! So how do you release the tension, overcome the nerves, and capture your authentic self at your photoshoot?

Rest

Rest, rest, rest!

Be sure to get enough sleep the night before your boudoir photoshoot. Turn off the electronics before bedtime, turn on a fan or some white noise, and shut out all the light for a good night’s rest.

Trust me – You won’t regret it!

Prepare

Have everything you’re bringing ready and prepared. Outfits, accessories, and anything else relevant to your session. You don’t want to have to rush to get out of the door or be late for your photoshoot.

Get To Know Your Photographer

Having a boudoir photographer you know and trust is SO important for the perfect Boudoir Session.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions, reach out for advice, or speak your mind. I promise I’ll be here to help you through the entire Boudoir Experience.

Practice (Makes Perfect)

This might sound silly… But get in front of a mirror and practice.

Move your body, see what angles you like, try out different expressions, and feel comfortable moving around.

Every day leading up to your photoshoot, look into the mirror and find something you love about yourself each day. Say “thank you” to yourself. Smile at yourself. Share the love with that gorgeous goddess inside.

Let Yourself Be Pampered

I have an absolutely talented professional hair and makeup artist who’s going to make sure you look and feel like the goddess you are.
